We're from St Louis and have a wide choice of grocery stores. We went to Hy-Vee to get some snacks and food for our stay with family. I was amazed at the size of this grocery store! It was clean and well organized. There is a great selection of organic and gluten free food.

The best place in town for almost always rotten produce. It’s always like this. Today the lettuce was warm and browning. Also the broccoli is rotten. You can see the slimy brown in the package. We buy produce at other stores because the RI HyVee produce department is so terrible.

30% higher prices than Walmart or aldi groceries. Ex..Organic milk is 1.25 cheaper at aldi and .80 cheaper at Walmart. Even name brand foods are higher.

Its a grocery store alright, not much to be said. They didn't have the hemmeroid cream my grandma needed but we all make mistakes.

It is a very expensive store but not like Harris Teeter in North Carolina - Harris Teeter was the most sparkling, super clean, smelled clean, well organized store. This HyVee smells it is mediocre at best. I noticed all employees here in Rock Island, not just HyVee but all places I have experienced people look or seem to be working jobs they don't like ? or even hate, you can just see it in their actions and I can feel the depression here everywhere... Hopefully, the next presidential election changes what is going on here in America

Sorry, no disrespect USA, just being honest ? I miss the amazingly beautiful Vienna Austria . And the whole atmosphere of what a well run country feels like. The VA in North Carolina was amazing here it is a night mare 3 times to replace glasses made, and they still don't work right. They should fire all the Veterans Administration workers here and hire only vets! These people suck at customer service - it took them 4 months to do what the VA in North Carolina could have done in 30 days! Without all the paperwork errors and mishaps!

A 6-year trip to Austria really opened my eyes to a place that makes America look like a bad joke in some places like Rock Island, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa - and OMG don't even get me started on the 3 hospitals Trinity, RI, Genesis and Trinity in Moline, in this area all 3 with ratings barely 2! And the quality of service reflects it strongly! Thank the gods for the Iowa University Medical Hospital, or I would be in really bad shape.

Hyvee use to the my preferred grocery store, I still shop there on occasion because it’s convenient. The store is kept clean, it’s well lit, and doesn’t feel over crowded. But, buyer beware…prices are often marked wrong and make sure you check expiration dates. I typically have at least 1 item that is priced wrong. I bring it to their attention and they will refund the difference but they typically don’t fix the price in their database. There’s been many times that I’ve purchased an item multiple times over several weeks and the advertised price continues to be wrong even after I brought it to their attention.
More importantly, check expiration dates before you put anything in your cart. It’s not uncommon to find a handful of products that are either expired or will be expired the next day (these are not sale/bargain buys) I’ve also brought this to their attention but it goes uncorrected. The most common foods are soups that are kept in the cooler area located next to the shopping carts and items in the meat/dairy area in the corner of the store.
