I had 3 visits back in Aug/Sept 2023 through EAP. I'm still getting bills. The billing department is grossly incompetent and frustrating to deal with. It's not worth the 'care'. Today is 1/6/25

Comprehensive Med Psych Systems is a danger to its patients. When I called to renew my prescription 2 days ago there was no answer so I left a voicemail. After not receiving a call back I called again today only to discover my psychiatrist is no longer working with them. So in order to renew my prescription I need to find another caregiver and was placed on hold for patient intake for 3 HOURS. I am not exaggerating. Finally, once someone answered I was told the next available Telehealth appointment would be in 2 weeks or an in-person appointment would be 3 months in another city. I chose the Telehealth but was informed that this was just a request and I may not be accepted. To top it off, the call somehow ended before she asked me for my DOB or any confirmation of who I was or contact information. So I am now out of my prescription refills and will have to find a new caregiver and pay new patient fees all over again. In retrospect, I can see why previous provider, Dr. Hahn, left. This business has no regard for their patients well being. Do yourself a favor and find a provider that actually cares about you.

Very rude! Spoke with someone named “Doriana” (spelling?) She hung up in my face mid-conversation after having a very excited and rude attitude towards me. I was calling in regard to a $100 late fee they were charging me for an appointment my DOCTOR RESCHEDULED. I know customer service can be tough, but she was not giving me the respect of a customer. I do not understand what her problem was with me, this was my first time speaking with her. The phone call hardly lasted 5 minutes. I started with “can you help me, I received a late fee and I don’t know why” She then put me on hold and came back with “the late fee is valid she already told you that” (she was literally yelling) Then hung up before I could respond. Very unnecessary and rude. After several issues with their office I am looking for a new doctor. Do not go here. If you are looking to alleviate your mental health, this place will only make it worse.

Contrary to all the other reviews here...we have had a wonderful experience with Comprehensive Med Psych in St Pete. My son is 11, almost 12 and he struggles with ADHD. Dr Disla is absolutely the BEST. She is very in tune with him, he loves talking to her (which is crazy because he does not like talking to many people), and she is very empathetic to him and how he is feeling. She takes the time that he needs, and will even talk to me if I call and leave a message or need something ASAP. She calls in between appts. Our first in person appt she actually explained to my son what ADHD was in a way that he could understand. She is so wonderful, I highly recommend!

John Whitaker is ALSO wonderful. He was my sons therapist until we switched him to an IOP recently. He was very caring and in tune with my son as well.

I know reviews can definitely sway your decision, but if you need a Psychiatrist, I highly recommend Dr Disla.

I have been working with Dr. Vanessa Disla for what is almost going to be a year soon.
Dr. Disla is highly efficient, professional and very knowledgeable. She is the main reason why I am a patient of Comprehensive Med Psych. I am very happy and she has been extremely helpful!

Dr. Maryla Madura is the most incompetent therapist I have ever encountered. Unbelievably unable to grasp basic mental health concepts. Refused to provide medical documentation that she is legally required to provide because she was too stupid to grasp what it was, despite me explaining it to her multiple times. Spent multiple sessions telling me my childhood trauma problems could be solved by eating a piece of fruit every few hours or getting blue screen glasses. AN absolute idiot. I have no idea how she obtained a PhD and frankly think she's lying about that, as she cannot connect two thoughts or understand anything you tell her and has no grasp of cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma, or anything related to therapy. Actually told me that diagnosed mental illness for which I am taking 4 medications a day is not legally a disability under the ADA (it is). After I discontinued care with her because I was tired of being told my problems could be answered by eating fruit, she sent me a letter telling me she was discontinuing care with me when I hadn't seen her for months. Childish and unprofessional. Should have her license revoked.

This practice never answers their phones or calls me back after leaving a voicemail. I have been seeing doctors here for over two years and I can never get a hold of secretaries to make an appointment or to answer questions about prescriptions. I will be finding a new doctor very soon. I even tried calling other offices and they told me to leave a voicemail for the correct office even after I explained they never returned my calls. I emailed the email below in your response and the email was kicked back twice.
